What's Flag Day without the biggest flag in Wilton. That's the great Flag of Maple Ave Fire Company It's so big it requires the hook 'n' ladder to hoist.
The hook 'n' ladder was at Dorothy Nolan June 14 to help the celebrate and commemorate Old Glory..
And naturally, the great flag was hanging from the extended ladder. What a contrast with the school flag.
You'll see the Flag waving again in two weeks at the Wilton ParkFest at Gavin Park.
John Adams who introduce the law establishing Our Flag on June 14, 1777 would have loved the ceremony at Dorothy Nolan.
With honored guests - all with a relationship to a Dorothy Nolan student - -who had served our Country recognized and thanked the ceremony was a community event.
