The Track in 2007

What a day! What a performance and ride by Street Sense. What a great highlight for a season of highlights.

Despite temperatures in the 90?s 38,909 fans turned out to

salute Street Sense who fought off Grasshopper to come through at the finish line.

Fans of racing were delighted to welcome Governor Spitzer to his first Travers Day - we hope the first of many.

When the Governor makes his decision on the future of racing in New York, he'll remember the excitement and the passion of this day in Saratoga.

This is the way racing should be and was in Saratoga and

continues to be.

It has to say to the Governor that video gaming devices are fine in their place but thoroughbred racing in New York is the best in the world with unmatched thrills.

40,000 fans who came out in 90? plus heat is testifies to that.

The 138th Meeting at Saratoga continues to set attendance and handle records and promises to top one million in attendance one again.

Fans have one last weekend visit the track and Sunday get their free beverage cooler.
